Self portrait

Well, I thought I'd give the mini-assignment a shot -- even though I HATE looking at photos of myself -- and I was trying to catch a typical reading-in-comfort pose lying down on the sofa, which often ends up with me dozing off for a while. It was hard to do! I had trouble with my cable release and switched to a 9 second timer instead. Not enough time to run to the sofa and lie down and pose with a book/magazine and my eyes closed!

I played with the cable release some more and I think it wasn't making contact. Anyway sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. {grumble, grumble}

A nice relaxing shot. What we all should be doing before starting another week.

Jo, it's so nice to see what you look like after knowing you for a time! I love the relaxed pose you chose and the fact that you're not looking at the camera. It makes you very real and accessible. Great job!

Nice to see you! The things we do for these challenges.

Hi Jo, it is nice to get to meet you. I wouldn`t let Rick see you dosing off to the Elements Magazine. LOL

Jens - HA! Funny.

Jo - love the photo! I think that's my second favorite place to read that magazine...the first being in front of the computer to try out all the fun lessons.

Nice shot!

Clever pose! Good to 'meet' you! I took a few shots of myself today and am off to see what I can do to them...

Jo, fun idea!! I'm laughing imagining you running back to the couch and getting into position before the shutter clicked. You did a great job!!

Hi Jo - that's my natural state, too - reclined with a book. what a great idea for a self-portrait - and this one came out crystal clear and sharp. Terrific.

That looks very comfortable there - wish I had a couch to lie back on, but having just moved into an infinitesimal living space we don't - and kudos for the photography tie in. Well done.
